Myriha Burton

Training, Learning and Dissemination Instructor
Electrifying Legacy

Meet Myriha, whose superhero origin story began at age 15 as a Teen HYPE Peer Educator. Her journey from youth participant to organizational leader embodies the transformative power of youth leadership.

As our Training, Learning and Dissemination Instructor, Myriha builds capacity across youth-serving organizations, embedding healing-centered practices and powerful youth-adult partnerships.

Drawing from her background as a performance artist and activist, Myriha electrifies audiences with authentic, dynamic training approaches. Her facilitation style challenges young people to think critically and craft personalized solutions to complex problems. This commitment to deep analysis is reflected in her impressive academic achievement – a triple major in History, Afro-American Studies, and Gender & Women Studies from the University of Wisconsin Madison. The Legend’s superpower? Transforming her own Teen HYPE experience into a blueprint for youth leadership, proving that when we invest in young people, they return to multiply that impact across generations.
