Hermione Austin 

Grounded, nurturing, and wise beyond her years, Hermione brings a calm strength to every space she enters. As an alum turned staff member, she now works closely with middle and high school youth, offering them the same support and guidance she once received. Hermione first joined Teen HYPE as a student in 2022 and quickly found her place. Her leadership stood out, and a year later, she joined the staff. 

With a background shaped by life transitions, from Detroit to Canada and back, she understands the power of adaptability and growth. A passionate future educator, she’s committed to giving young people the tools they need to navigate life with confidence and clarity. 

Her superhero is Storm. The character serves as a powerful reminder that even in the midst of chaos and uncertainty, strength and grace can prevail. Once shy, Hermione now steps into her power, knowing she’s becoming the leader she was always meant to be. Guided by her mother’s words: “You reap what you sow,” Hermione is planting seeds of wisdom, strength, and hope, one young mind at a time.
